Role Overview

We’re looking for a Community Manager to support the release of one of our upcoming co-development titles and manage content and communication across our social platforms. You will be the voice of our game community by engaging players, crafting compelling content, and shaping how we communicate with our audience across social platforms. You’ll work closely with our development, marketing, and social content teams to create meaningful interactions and drive active, positive community growth.

What You’ll Do

Community Engagement & Support

  • Build strong relationships with players on major platforms (Discord, Reddit, Instagram, etc.)
  • Moderation: handle toxic behavior, enforce rules, keep discussions productive
  • Collect user feedback and share insights with internal teams to help guide development and communication strategy and report it to the dev team

Content Creation & Communication

  • Develop daily/weekly content tailored to each platform (posts, stories, short-form video, memes, announcements)
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to transform announcements into shareable content
  • Write and publish community newsletters, patch notes summaries, and development updates
  • Communicate updates: patches, events, dev news, known issues
  • Crisis comms: deal with backlash, bugs, downtime, controversies

Release & Launch Support

  • Plan and execute community activities leading up to game release (AMA sessions, livestreams, contests)
  • Coordinate with partners on co-development messaging and promotional campaigns
  • Track community sentiment and address issues during launch spikes

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track key metrics (engagement, sentiment, reach, growth)
  • Prepare weekly and monthly community performance reports
  • Propose adjustments based on data to improve engagement and retention

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in community management - preferably in gaming
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to create on-brand and engaging social media content
  • Familiarity with major social platforms, community tools (Discord), and content scheduling tools
  • Strong understanding of gaming audiences, trends, fandom culture, and player behavior
  • Passionate about video games and player experience
  • Creative storyteller with a knack for connecting with diverse audiences
  • Empathetic moderator who can balance community needs and company goals
  • Organized, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with analytics dashboards and social media reporting
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, Premiere, After Effects)
  • Previous exposure to co-development or collaborative project workflows
